The brief
One platform had to keep client rules, router connections, lookup logs and regional deployments working in step.
LucidView needed to manage multiple client lists, react to live configuration changes and run the same way in several locations.
That meant connecting configuration, routing updates, lookup logs and regional infrastructure into one operable platform.
The system
Manage live multi-client filtering through CoreDNS and Go, backed by PostgreSQL and Laravel.
Correlate source data into DNS configuration and L2TP connection updates across MikroTik devices.
Consolidate lookup logs while K3s, AWX and Ansible support repeatable regional operations.
The intervention
The system needed to manage multiple client lists, update its configuration as settings changed and run in several locations through one straightforward update process.
An initial Node.js version got the service running quickly. It was then rebuilt with CoreDNS and Go, with PostgreSQL and Laravel managing configuration data.
Information from several sources was correlated to generate DNS configuration and update L2TP connection details across multiple MikroTik devices.
DNS lookup logs were received, consolidated and simplified before being passed into existing import and processing systems.
K3s clusters were set up in multiple regions to host the software. AWX and Ansible scripts supported repeatable server information gathering, maintenance and development environments.
