The application was rewritten from the original proof of concept application.
The new application was rewritten into Python and Danjo using PostgreSQL from a .Net application running on a Microsoft SQL server.
I did the backend and API rewrite.
This also involved handling the deployment and development environments.
The API needed to be consumed by a new React application and a new phone application written in Flutter.
The previous backend was just a proof of concept, so the new system required a complete redesign, with multiple new features added.
Both were done via docker, and the initial deployment was to Azure and Azure AKS.
This was later migrated to physical servers using K3S. The main reason is considerable cost savings.
The servers and deployments are handled via a mixture of Ansible and Terraform.
